What this Project Status Report Form is for
A project status report gives an accountable contributor a repeatable way to summarize the current condition of approved, active work. It helps reviewers see what period the update covers, where the project sits, what moved forward, what is changing, what needs attention, and what should happen next without reconstructing the story from meetings, chat threads, and disconnected documents.
This parent begins after work has been authorized. It is not the existing Project Request Form, which proposes a new body of work before approval, and it is not a project charter, plan, change request, risk register, timesheet, financial report, acceptance certificate, performance review, audit record, or executive decision. Keep authoritative records in the governed systems that own them.
