What this Training Needs Assessment Survey is for
A training needs assessment collects structured evidence before a team decides what learning to design, buy, schedule, or support. It connects real tasks and intended outcomes with current confidence, frequency of use, consequences of a gap, preferred ways to learn, opportunities to practise, and the support people need after a session.
This parent sits before the existing Training Request Form, which asks for review of a specific course or development opportunity, and before the Course Evaluation Form, which gathers feedback after learning has occurred. It is not a knowledge test, performance review, capability certification, promotion screen, disciplinary record, course registration, budget approval, or promise that training will be provided.
