Path Chooser

Published July 27, 2026

Path Chooser is a Bio Block that asks visitors what they need before they enter the guided flow. Each choice stores a decision value, can personalize the Bio Funnel immediately, and can send the visitor to the most relevant next step.

Common uses

  • Route buyers, sellers, and existing customers into different Intent Paths.
  • Reveal different services, testimonials, booking options, or resources.
  • Separate personal and business inquiries before showing a Form.
  • Send visitors directly to a Content Page, Flow step, or external destination.
  • Store the selected intent for Conditional Outcomes and analytics.

Add a Path Chooser

  1. Open Dashboard > Flows, edit a flow, and select Introduction & Bio Funnel.
  2. Enable Bio Funnel Builder and open Add block.
  3. Choose Path Chooser from the Discovery category.
  4. Add a question and between two and six paths.
  5. Give every path a clear visitor-facing label and a short decision value.
  6. Choose what happens after each selection.
  7. Under Personalized blocks, select the Bio Blocks that belong to that path.
  8. Preview each path, save, publish, and test the public flow URL.

Selection actions

| Action | Behavior | | --- | --- | | Personalize this page | Stores the decision and updates visible Bio Blocks without leaving the page. | | Start flow | Starts the current flow with the selected decision available to variables and outcomes. | | Start at intent path | Opens the current flow at the chosen Intent Path. | | Open flow at step | Starts at a selected Flow Block. | | Open content page | Opens a Content Page step in the current flow. | | Open URL | Stores the decision and opens an external destination. |

Personalization behavior

Path Chooser uses a decision variable such as visitor_path. Every path stores a unique value such as buyer, seller, or existing_client.

Blocks selected under Personalized blocks receive a response-based visibility rule. When the visitor chooses a path, the live Bio Funnel state updates immediately. The selection is also retained for the current browser tab so a refresh does not unexpectedly reset the page.

Analytics

The dashboard's Block Performance table reports Path Chooser views, unique interactions, selection rate, and an option-level count. The selected value itself is decision state; Form answers and private participant content are not displayed in block analytics.

Design guidance

  • Use two to four options when possible.
  • Write labels in the visitor's language, such as “I want to buy” instead of internal segment names.
  • Use descriptions only when the choices need clarification.
  • Use image cards when imagery materially helps the decision.
  • Keep the first personalized content close to the chooser so the page visibly responds.
  • Prefer Intent Paths for meaningfully different guided journeys and simple personalization for smaller content changes.
