Audio / Podcast
Published July 29, 2026 • Updated July 30, 2026
Use Audio / Podcast to turn an episode, guided recording, preview, interview, or audio lesson into part of a visitor journey. It is a shared block: place it in a decision Flow when listening should lead to another step, or in a Bio Funnel when audio is featured content.
Supported sources
- Public Spotify episodes, shows, tracks, albums, and playlists
- Apple Podcasts shows and episodes
- Public SoundCloud tracks and playlists
- Public Mixcloud on-demand uploads
- Direct HTTPS audio files: MP3, M4A, AAC, OGG, and WAV
- Teams-hosted Asset Library audio
- Podcast RSS feeds with searchable episode selection
The editor identifies the provider from the URL and shows a working preview before you publish. Playback never starts automatically. Select What's supported beside the connected provider to compare its playback, analytics, metadata, and hosting or embed requirements without leaving the block.
Import an episode from a podcast feed
Select Import feed, then paste the public HTTPS RSS link supplied by your podcast host. QuizFlow Labs validates the feed and lets you search up to 100 playable episodes.
Choose one of two publishing modes:
- Specific episode pins the episode you select.
- Latest episode imports the episode that is newest when you apply the feed.
Both modes create a reviewed snapshot. An external feed can never silently replace audio in a published Flow or Bio Funnel. When you are ready to check for a newer episode, select Review or refresh, inspect the result, and apply it deliberately.
The import fills the audio URL, episode title, show or creator, and available artwork. You can edit any of those fields before publishing.
Import SoundCloud details
After you paste a public SoundCloud track or playlist, the editor can detect its title, creator, and cover artwork. Select Import details to fill any empty fields. Importing never replaces copy or artwork you already added, so you remain in control of the published card.
Choose a presentation
- Standard balances artwork, context, and the provider player.
- Compact uses a smaller context header when space is limited.
- Showcase gives artwork more visual weight for featured episodes or releases.
Existing Audio / Podcast blocks continue to use Standard until you choose another presentation.
Host audio in the Asset Library
Teams workspaces can select Choose hosted audio to reuse an Asset Library recording or upload a new MP3, M4A, AAC, OGG, or WAV file.
- Maximum file size: 50 MB
- Workspace hosted-audio allowance: 2 GB, with a usage meter and the option to contact QuizFlow Labs for more storage
- Storage remains private; QuizFlow Labs delivers referenced audio through a managed streaming route.
- Used audio cannot be deleted until it is removed from every Flow and Bio Funnel.
- Hosted audio provides verified play, pause, completion, and progress analytics.
Linked provider audio and direct public audio remain available on every plan.
Add it to a Flow
- Add Audio / Podcast from the block picker.
- Paste a supported audio URL, choose hosted audio, or select Import feed to find a podcast episode.
- Import available SoundCloud details or add your own title, creator, and short description.
- Choose a Standard, Compact, or Showcase presentation.
- Choose optional artwork from the Asset Library and provide useful alt text.
- Set the continue button label. In Settings, optionally route it to a specific step.
- Preview the Flow at desktop and mobile widths, then test playback and the next action.
Add it to a Bio Funnel
- Open Experience and select the Bio Funnel Builder.
- Add Audio / Podcast from the Content category.
- Configure the source, import a podcast episode or available provider details, and refine the supporting copy and artwork.
- Choose the presentation that best fits the Bio Funnel.
- Add an optional action label and HTTPS destination, such as show notes, subscribe, or book a conversation.
- Use the live mobile preview to check artwork, player height, copy, and action placement.
Analytics
Hosted audio, direct audio, SoundCloud, and Mixcloud provide verified player-ready, play, pause, completion, and 25%, 50%, 75%, and 90% progress events. Spotify and Apple Podcasts players are provider-controlled embeds, so QuizFlow Labs records that the player loaded and any block action click; provider dashboards remain the source for detailed listening analytics.
Good UX
- Explain the value of listening instead of repeating the episode title.
- Use square, high-contrast artwork that remains clear on mobile.
- Keep supporting copy short enough that the player stays near the fold.
- Use specific actions such as Read the show notes, Subscribe, or Continue to my recommendation.
- Do not make listening mandatory unless the next decision truly depends on it.
Troubleshooting
If the preview does not load, use the public share link from Spotify, Apple Podcasts, SoundCloud, or Mixcloud. SoundCloud tracks and playlists and Mixcloud on-demand uploads must permit embedding. Mixcloud Live broadcasts cannot be embedded; publish the archived recording first. For a direct file, confirm the URL uses HTTPS, ends in a supported audio extension, and is publicly accessible. For RSS import, use the public HTTPS feed URL rather than the podcast webpage. Some hosts prevent third-party playback; use a host that permits browser audio delivery.
Monitor a connected podcast feed
When you reopen a block connected to RSS, QuizFlow Labs compares the saved episode snapshot with the current feed. The builder reports whether the snapshot is healthy, the audio or artwork changed, the episode disappeared, or the feed is temporarily unavailable.
Health checks never replace published content automatically. If an update is available, select Review or refresh, inspect the current feed, and explicitly apply the episode you want to use. Until then, the previously reviewed audio URL, title, creator, and artwork remain pinned.
