Styling & Branding

Published July 25, 2026

Appearance controls let you match the quiz to your brand, from colors and borders to logos and branding visibility.

This guide will walk you through:

  • Where appearance settings live
  • What each control changes
  • Plan requirements for branding removal

When to use this

Use this when you are ready to make the quiz feel native to your site.

How it works

Appearance settings live under Appearance > Appearance & Style for each flow. You can control:

  • Primary color (palette picker or hex input)
  • Default text color (Auto by default, with optional hex override)
  • Background color (optional, palette picker or hex input)
  • Typography for the quiz and chatbot launcher text
  • Widget border for embedded widget and public page views
  • Header display mode (Always, first question only, pre-start CTA, or hidden)
  • Start button label and optional subtext when the pre-start CTA is active
  • Navigation button alignment (left, center, or right)
  • QuizFlow Labs branding visibility (Basic+)
  • Launcher styling when the Public view style is Full-Page or Chatbot
  • Chat conversation colors when the Public view style is Chatbot

Appearance controls

Step-by-step

  1. Open a flow and go to Appearance > Appearance & Style.
  2. Use the palette pickers or enter hex values for Primary, Default text, and optional background colors.
  3. Toggle the widget border, choose a header display mode, and customize the Start label or subtext when Pre-start CTA is visible.
  4. Align navigation buttons and toggle branding visibility if your plan allows it.
  5. If you use the Chatbot public style, customize the launcher and optional chat conversation colors so the entry point and conversation surface stay on brand.

Tips / Gotchas

  • Branding removal requires Basic+.
  • Background color is optional; leave it blank to inherit whatever sits behind the embed.
  • Default text color can stay blank. Auto chooses a readable color for the current background.
  • Header display choices update instantly; choose Pre-start CTA to expose the Start button label and optional subtext fields.
  • Changes auto-save after a short delay and refresh the preview automatically.
